About Terry
A businessman, education consultant, career development counselor, pastor and adjunct professor of religion, Terry Alexander received his B.A. from Francis Marion University and his M. Div. degree from Howard University. He is currently pursuing a doctorate degree and serves as Chaplin of the Executive Committee of the SC Legislative Black Caucus.
The many advocacy and outreach organizations with which Terry has been involved include the Florence Breakfast Club, the Mercy Medicine Board, the Boys and Girls Club, Habitat for Humanity, the NAACP, the SC Campaign to Prevent Teen Pregnancy, the HIV-AIDS Task Force, the SC Institute of Medicine and Public Health’s Health Policy Fellows Program, and the House of Representatives’ Study Committee on Opioid Abuse. He also has served as Regional Chair for the National Black Caucus of State Legislators.
Terry serves or has served on the Labor, Commerce and Industry Committee, the Education and Public Works Committee, and the Regulations and Administrative Procedures Committee. He is married to Ms. Starlee Davis Alexander, and they have two children, Terrell McClain and Matthew.
About Chaquez
Chaquez McCall is a lifelong resident of Florence, SC. He’s a proud graduate of Wilson High School and Francis Marion University where he majored in political science. While at Francis Marion, he was awarded the Jesse A. Cole Political Science Scholarship and The Neal D. Thigpen Award in South Carolina Politics and Government. He also was inducted into the Phi Alpha Theta History Honor Society.
After graduating from Francis Marion University, Chaquez moved to Durham, NC where he attended North Carolina Central University School of Law. While in law school, he served as a staff editor of the prestigious NCCU Law Review and worked extensively in the Civil Litigation Clinic, specializing in small and complex litigation.
After graduating from law school, Chaquez returned to his roots in Florence, SC to work as a judicial law clerk under the tutelage of Circuit Court Judge D. Craig Brown. During that time, he learned the inner workings of the court systems, working first-hand with attorneys, solicitors and judges in the area. Upon completion of his clerkship, he opened McCall Law where he practices personal injury and criminal law.
